Hafslund's core values have remained the same since the company was formally established after the merger of Hafslund and Eco Energi in 2018. The values "open", "responsible" and "innovative" describe who we are and who we want to be. The core values should represent the company's culture and guide how we act. The values should be something one can identify with. At the same time, they should be something to strive for.

Open means that we

Our Social Mission

Create long-term value through renewable energy, secure power supply and the development of a smart and fully electrified zero-emission society.

The social mission says something about Hafslund's place in society and the role the company will play in the future. It involves having a long-term perspective on investments and management of the values the company owns within hydropower and electricity supply. It involves an unequivocal choice of renewable solutions over fossil ones.

Furthermore, it means a commitment to ensuring high availability and uptime in power production. Important social tasks and critical societal functions depend on a well-functioning system with reliable energy supply. Today's security political challenges place extraordinary demands on our preparedness ability. The consequences of a prolonged situation are difficult to predict, but as a power producer, we are implementing a number of measures to maintain safe power supply in situations where access to electricity will be critically important for the entire population.
